"Ginger"

'Ginger" is a female Agile wallaby joey who was found near the school at Wongaling Beach at 6:30am in the morning of 1st September, 2005. Her young mother had been hit by a car and she was still in her pouch. Ginger was lucky to be alive with only a small bruise. She had only a little fur and weighed 450 grams. She will go and live with Didgeridoo.

Ginger, Didgeridoo and Stinki have gone to live on a property between Mission Beach and El Arish, where they will all be eventually released back into the wild together. Ginger now weighs a healthy 900 grams and is enjoying hopping around the house and the garden with her two mates. As you can see in the photos, she now has lots of fur.
